★The Good Fight returns to Paramount+ for its sixth season September 8, and it has been revealed that it will be the final season, a decision made by creators Robert and Michelle King at the end of Season 5. The season will focus on Diane (Christine Baranski) feeling a sense of deja vu, wondering if she's going crazy, with topics ranging from Roe v Wade, voting right, Cold War aggressions returning and violence in the streets of Chicago driving the storyline.
★Alexis Bledel has made the decision to not return for the fifth season of Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale.
★Anthony Anderson will not be returning for the 22nd season of Law & Order. Not a surprise since he only signed a one-year deal. In question is Sam Waterston, who also signed a one-year deal to return for Season 21 but also made an appearance at NBC's Upfront presentation earlier in May to promote the show.
★The upcoming -- and long-delayed -- second season of HBO's space comedy Avenue 5 will most likely be its last. With production delayed due to the pandemic, the cast options expired and most have moved on to other projects. Season 2 has not been dated as of yet but is expected to air in the Fall.
★Matthew Morrison, who was recently announced as a new judge on So You Think You Can Dance, is leaving the show for, as the network stated, not following competition production protocols. In his own statement, Morrison said because of the violation he would not be able to judge the competition fairly. No further details have been released. Morrison will appear in four pre-taped episodes, and a new judge will be announced ahead of the next round of competition that begins June 15.
