STREAMING NEWS

★Max Martini will be joining the second season of Bosch: Legacy in a heavily recurring role. The spin-off of Amazon's Bosch streams on the Freevee ad-supported service.

★Apple Original Films has landed the new untitled two-part documentary film from A24 and Tremolo Productions featuring legendary writer, producer, director, actor and comedian Steve Martin, exploring his iconic life and career.


★Acorn TV has renewed Harry Wild, starring Jane Seymour, for a second eight-episode season coming in 2023.

★Disney+ will roll out its new ad-supported plan on December 8 with a subscription price of $7.99 a month. The no-ad plan will remain at $10.99. Lower priced bundles include Disney+ with Hulu at $9.99; Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ at $12.99; and Hulu + Live TV, which includes Disney+ and ESPN+, at $69.99 a month.

Superstore alum Lauren Ash is joining ABC's workplace comedy series Not Dead Yet opposite Gina Rodriguez. The series is based on Alexandra Potter’s 2020 book Confessions of a Forty-Something F**k Up.

★The Academy of Country Music Honors will make its FOX debut on Tuesday, September 13. Reigning ACM Female Artist of the Year and four-time ACM Award winner Carly Pearce will return for a second year to host the ceremony celebrating special honorees Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton, Shania Twain, Morgan Wallen and Yellowstone. Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Brooks & Dunn, The Warren Brothers, Dan + Shay, Jordan Davis, ERNEST, Vince Gill, HARDY, Wynonna Judd, Avril Lavigne, Little Big Town, Carly Pearce, Morgan Wallen, Lainey Wilson and more to perform. Special performance by Trace Adkins, star of FOX's new country music drama Monarch.


★Tatiana Maslany returns to AMC as star and executive producer of the upcoming series Invitation to a Bonfire, based on the novel by Adrienne Celt of the same name. Invitation to a Bonfire is a psychological thriller set in the 1930s at an all-girls boarding school in New Jersey. Inspired by Vladimir and Vera Nabokov’s co-dependent marriage, the series follows Zoya (Freya Mavor), a young Russian immigrant and groundskeeper, who is drawn into a lethal love triangle with the school’s newest faculty member — an enigmatic novelist, Leo (Pilou Asbæk)— and his bewitching wife (Maslany).

★Some familiar faces are said to be returning for the 11th season of American Horror Story. Nothing is official but sources say Zachary Quinto, Billie Lourd and Isaac Powell will return to the series, joined by Patti Lupone, who appeared on Ryan Murphy's Pose and Hollywood, with Hollywood co-star Joe Mantello. Pose's Sandra Bernhard is also said to be joining the new season along with Ratched's Charlie Carver. Some of the stars were seen filming in Manhattan's West Village in what appeared to be 1970s-1980s attire.
