STREAMING NEWS

★Kristen Bell will return for the third season of Apple TV+ animated series Central Park as a new character, Abby, Paige's little sister. Bell originally voiced Molly, a mixed race character in the first season, relinquishing the role to, as she stated, "someone who can give a much more accurate portrayal [of the mixed race and Black American experience].”


★Christina Hendricks will play Mrs. St. George in a series adaptation of The Buccaneers, an unfinished novel by Edith Wharton.

TV NEWS

★Tami Roman's Caught in the Act: Unfaithful, which had been suddenly pulled from the VH1 schedule just before its May premiere, has been renewed for a second season to coincide with the new first season premiere on July 18.

★In what sounds like a falling out, it's been reported that Desus & Mero are parting ways to pursue separate career endeavors and their Showtime series will not return for a fifth season.

★Following the exit of Miguel Gomez, Edwin Hodge will be joining the cast of FBI: Most Wanted this Fall, making his debut on the season premiere September 20 on CBS.


★ABC's new game show Generation Gap has debuted as the Summer's Number 1 series in total viewers, the strongest unscripted debut for any Summer series in two years. In its fourth season, Press Your Luck debuted with its most watched Season Premiere ever with a 15% gain in viewers over last year's debut.

★Craig McCracken will be developing reboots of The Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends for Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe.


★HBO's Princess Diana documentary The Princess will premiere on August 13, marking the 25th anniversary of her tragic death on August 31. The doc will also be streaming on HBO Max.

MOVIE NEWS

★Dune: Part Two has commenced filming in Budapest, Abu Dhabi, Jordan and Italy. Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Charlotte Rampling and Stephen McKinley Henderson are all returning for the sequel, with new cast members Austin Butler, Christopher Walken, Florence Pugh, Léa Seydoux and Souheila Yacoub.


★Peter Dinklage has joined the cast of Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes as Casca Highbottom, dean of the Academy.
