Paramount+ has renewed hit supernatural series Evil for a fourth season. The show's third season is currently streaming with new episodes dropping on Sundays.

Patricia 'Ms. Pat' Williams has signed an overall deal with BET to write, produce and perform in new series and other projects, scripted and unscripted, across the BET linear and digital platforms. The deal comes on the heels of BET+ renewing The Ms. Pat Show for a third season. The second season premieres August 11.

Searchlight Pictures will shift comedy caper See How They Run, starring Saoirse Ronan and Sam Rockwell, from September 30 to September 16 in what is shaping up to be a slow Fall season from late August through late October, unless New Line Cinema's big screen adaptation of Stephen King's Salem's Lot, opening a week earlier, duplicates the same sort of boffo business It did in the same time frame in 2017. Also opening on September 16 is The Woman King with Viola Davis.

Former EastEnders star Mona Hammond has died at 91. Hammond played matriarch Blossom Jackson on the British soap between 1994 and 1997 and made two guest appearances in 2010. She also co-founded the Black British theatre company Talawa in 1986. Other TV credits include The Sweeney, Wolcott, Black Silk, Hard Cases, Coronation Street, Making Out, Desmond's, Chef!, Brothers & Sisters, Pig Heart Boy, White Teeth, Babyfather, A Touch of Frost, The Crouches, Doctor Who, Casualty, Doctors, Holby City and Whitechapel. Film credits include Pure, The Life and Death of Peter Sellers, Manderlay, Imagine Me & You, Kinky Boots and 10,000 BC.
